Executive Board Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, February 4, 2025 9:30 AM

Call to Order: 9:32 AM

Secretary’s Report: Stephanie Bollinger

• Minutes from January 2025 meeting sent out last week, 1.28.25
  • majority approval

Treasurer’s Report: Sarah Lynch

• Unreconciled—Snowman donation check. Will reach out if not cleared by next cycle.
• Garden group, Glow Bingo

Principals Report: Lorinda Krey & Katie Johnson

• Glow Bingo was awesome! Well-oiled machine, thank you! Compliments on lighting and everything.
  • volunteers were helpful, had direction; get volunteers for variety show as well
• Snack Cart—staff gets excited, boosts morale!
• Friendship Parties:
  • next Thursday the 13th, watching weather
• Field Trips:
  • JA Biz Town increasing rates next year $5/child
  • 4th grade field trip costs offset from PTO
  • Background Checks: make sure you are getting screened to be field trip chaperone; building does not have list of those completed as of yet
• Teacher Grants:
  • Books for 3rd Grade book challenge
  • have been using books school was getting rid of, have asked for $200 to order books from Scholastic
  • Email to staff that grants are available—$700 committed to teacher grants
  • Submit your grants before March meeting
  • Understanding that we will approve what we can, but know we may not be able to grant them all.
• Valentine’s Day Treats in Lounge
  • Have done in the past. Doing this year? (Will check with Misha—YES!)

President’s Report: Anna King

• Bounce Houses for Field Day/Family Fun Night
  • losing one day the quote isn’t much different—$4000
  • Field Day this year—keep inflatables, add in more organized games this year to transition away from the inflatables (maybe this year is the last year for that)

• Changed PTO Email Password—sorry if you got a weird email from “Anna King”
• Budget: Meeting Tuesday the 11th, 9:30 to revist and shift budget and spending, discuss board positions, chairs

VP of Events Report: Alicia Burke & Crystal Kroeger

• Variety Show
  • Former Fairway student wants to dance with her little sister and her friend. Is that okay? YES

VP of Fundraising Report: Hayley Hopper & Michelle Dockler

• Glow Bingo was great!
• Local House Fundraiser $100
• Ideas for Drive Thru fundraisers...Culvers, McTeacher Night
• Putting together something for March
• St. Louis City SC Fairway Night April 13th $105/ticket (less fees than purchasing on own)
  • link is live and will go out this week
  • If 50+ tickets are sold, option for kids to get picture take on field (not advertising)
  • Songbirds Cardinals game next day
• Adult Night Fundraiser—tickets on sale Friday, February 14th $75 
  • heavy apps, drinks (2 drink tickets), DJ, live/silent auction

VP of Community: Jill Grogan

• Friendship Parties

  • valentine exchange in class after party in gym
  • room parents to class and other parents to leave
• Reading Week first week of March
  • Nancy King—chair, working with reading teachers, dog themed “ Get Your Paws on a Good Book”, speaker canceled
